Our country, our sport, our platform
If there is one sport truly woven into the soul of Malaysians, badminton is it. From the Sidek brothers who put Malaysia on the world stage in the 90s, to the national obsession with Lee Zii Jia today – we grew up with this sport. We know every technique, every shift in momentum, every nerve-wracking moment in a third set. And when you understand the game that deeply, badminton betting is more than just a chance to win money – it is another way to feel the thrill of every match.
At qr44, we understand what that means. That's why the badminton section on our platform wasn't built as an afterthought – it was built as a flagship product serving real Malaysian badminton fans. Every BWF World Tour match, every Thomas Cup and Uber Cup clash, every Sudirman Cup fixture and national championship – all available to bet on live, with odds refreshed every second to reflect what's happening on court.
For players just starting out, qr44 provides comprehensive player statistics, head-to-head records and up-to-date performance analysis – all available for free within your account. With the right information at hand, your bets are no longer guesswork, but well-informed decisions.

A range of bet types for every type of player
Many new players assume badminton betting simply means picking who wins a match. At qr44, your options go far beyond that. Our sports platform offers more than 20 betting markets for every major badminton match – turning every point exchanged on court into a new opportunity for you.
One example is set handicap betting — where you give the weaker player a set advantage in exchange for more attractive odds. If you're confident Lee Zii Jia will win 2-0, you can go for the exact score market and walk away with a much bigger multiplier. Or if you simply want to bet on whether a match goes two or three sets, the total sets market is available for exactly that.
What makes it especially exciting for hardcore badminton fans is the in-play betting feature at qr44. Picture this — you're watching Lee Zii Jia's match on TV and you notice him turning up the aggression after falling 5-10 behind in the first set. From experience, you know he's the mentally tough type who stages comebacks. With qr44's in-play betting, you can act on that observation and place your bet at exactly the right moment — not before the match starts, but right in the thick of the action.
For team events such as the Thomas Cup, Uber Cup and Sudirman Cup, qr44 offers dedicated markets including overall match winner, number of games played, and winning margin. For stats-driven fans who track each player's head-to-head record, this is a rich field of opportunity waiting to be explored.

Choose the market that best suits your knowledge and betting style
The most straightforward bet type – pick the player or team you think will win the match. A great starting point for newcomers getting to grips with badminton betting.
The weaker player receives a set head start. Example: Lee Zii Jia +0.5 sets means you win if LZJ loses 1-2 or wins 2-0 / 2-1. Comes with more attractive odds.
Bet on whether the match will end in 2 sets (a clear winner) or 3 sets (a closer contest). The outcome depends on the gap in level between the two players.
Predict the exact match score — for example 2-0 or 2-1. Odds are higher than standard match winner bets. Best suited for players who know the head-to-head record between both competitors.
Bet while the match is in progress. Odds shift in real time according to what's happening on court — the most dynamic and exciting market for experienced players.
Combine multiple matches into a single bet slip. Every selection must win for the bet to pay out – higher risk, but the multiplied returns can reach tens of times your stake.

Malaysia doesn't just play badminton — we are a badminton powerhouse that has shaped the history of the sport. Five-time Thomas Cup champions, countless All England title holders, and legends like Rashid Sidek, Foo Kok Keong, Koo Kien Keat/Tan Boon Heong — and now Lee Zii Jia and Ng Tze Yong. These aren't just athletes; they are part of our national identity.
When you understand this history, you understand why it matters to have a badminton betting platform that genuinely respects the sport. At qr44, our badminton coverage goes beyond tournament names and odds figures. We provide context – head-to-head records, recent performance trend analysis, training and injury updates, and commentary from local experts who understand Malaysian badminton from the inside.
This matters because knowledge is your edge as a Malaysian player. You already know that Lee Zii Jia performs best when he comes out aggressive from the start. You know Aaron/Wooi Yik often need the first set to find their rhythm. You know Pearly/Thinaah are mentally resilient and rarely give up even when trailing. Use that local knowledge — and use the qr44 to turn it into a real win.
Real experiences from Malaysia's badminton fan community
"I've followed badminton since I was a kid, and when I found qr44, it felt like a platform that truly gets the sport. The odds for the Thomas Cup were far better than anywhere else I'd tried. Won RM 3,800 on Malaysia vs Indonesia, paid out within 20 minutes. I'm a regular now."
"What I love most is the in-play betting feature for Zii Jia's matches. The moment I saw him heating up in the second set, I placed my bet straight away — the odds at that point were better than before the match started. I've used this strategy three times on qr44 and won all three. It's absolutely the best platform for badminton fans."
"Parlaying BWF World Tour matches is such a thrill. Last week I combined 4 matches, won all of them — turned RM 150 into RM 2,100. Depositing via GrabPay was seamless. More in-platform player stats would make it perfect, but overall qr44 is the best out there right now."
